Donuts Dunks Into New Funding Round

Bellevue, Washington-based top level domain registrar startup Donuts Inc. has just dipped into a new glass of funding, saying this morning that it has raised a new, Series B funding round. The new funding comes on top of its existing, $100M in funding which it announced in June of last year.

Size of the new funding round was not disclosed. The new round was led by Generation Partners, and also included Columbia Partners Private Capital. Donuts also said it had recently scored a credit line from Comerica Bank. According to Donuts, this new Series B is at twice the valuation of its initial Series A funding round. Donuts operates a domain name registry for the new, global top-level domain (gTLD) market, which is getting set to launch. Those new gTLDs sit at the same level at .com, .org, and .net domains.
