Doxo Signs First Utility Firm

Seattle-based doxo, the online bill management service headed by Steve Shivers, has signed up another biller to use the firm's service, the company said today. Doxo said that Kansas City Power & Light is officially the first utility provider to join its service. The new biller comes on top of a major win for the company last week with Sprint. Doxo said that KCP&L's customers can now use Doxo to manage their bills. The company is looking to help billers bridge the gap between users who receive their bills via mail, but pay via online bill payment services, by helping those consumers get over issues with receiving bills online. Doxo's services allow multiple providers to send their bills to users, who then have a central place to receive, manage, and file those bills. The company is backed by Mohr Davidow Ventures and Bezos Expeditions.
