Drawn to Scale Pulls Up Funding
Seattle-based Drawn To Scale, a new startup developing "big data" software, said today that it has raised an initial round of funding. The funding came from RTP Ventures, IA Ventures, and SK Ventures. The firm, which is headed by former Visible Technologies engineer Bradford Stephens, develops a database specifically aimed a rapidly scaling, distributed data. The firm's advisors include Joe Stump (SimpleGeo), Geva Perry (Heroku, Twilio), Bradford Cross (Flightcaster), Rich Miller (Telematica), and Randy Smerik (LSI Corp./Tarari). Size of the funding was not announced.
