DreamBox Debuts Instructional Game for Students
Online education firm DreamBox Learning Inc. reported Tuesday that it has launched a Web-based mathematics curriculum intended for students from kindergarten through second grade. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company said its newest offering, K-2 Math, complements an early student's classroom instruction by developing and reinforcing fundamental math concepts. The title is a interactive, adventure-style game that the firm says "makes learning fun." Founded in 2006, DreamBox is a privately held company backed by $7.1 million in angel funding.
