Bellevue-based eMagin Corporation, a developer of microdisplays and other imaging technology, reported today that it has scored a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The firm said the grant, worth $1.3M over three years, is part of a partnership with the University of Rochester, to develop next-generation, organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) aimed at high efficiency solid state lighting systems. eMagin did not say how much of that grant will go to the firm.
