Seattle-based Escapia, a provider of vacation rental software, has been sold to HomeAway, a Texas operator of an online vacation rental marketplace. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. Escapia was venture backed by Atlas Accelerator and Montlake Capital. HomeAway said Escapia will remain in Seattle with its 25-person staff. The sale had earlier been uncovered--leaked via a Facebook status update--by TechFlash.
