EveryMove Adds $3.5M, Launches Android App

Seattle-based EveryMove, which operates an online service to encourage people to track and improve their physical activity and health, has raised $3.5M in a Series A-1 funding, and also launched an Android application. The firm--headed by Russell Benaroya--said th new funding comes from BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, Sandbox Industries, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. EveryMove's health applications and service is geared around spurring users to be more physically active and to improve their health. EveryMove said it snew Android app includes all of the same features as its iPhone version, including tracking physical activity, connecting to other activity apps and devices, as well as earning points for rewards.
