Expedia Adds Hilton To Green Hotel Program

Bellevue, Washington-based travel site Expedia.com said this week that it has added 300-plus properties from Hilton into its Green Hotel Program. According to Expedia, the first wave of those 300 properties come from Hilton's LightStay proprietary sustainability measurement system for its hotels. Expedia said it now has more than 2,000 hotels listed in its system for "eco-friendly" travel. LightStay is a program being used by Hilton to calculate the carbon and energy impact of its properties.
