Expedia Rolls Out New iPhone App

Bellevue-based Expedia, the online travel booking site, said this week that it has launched a new iPhone and iPod touch application called Expedia Hotels. According to the firm, the new app allows users to research, filter, and book hotel rooms from their mobile device. The new app comes out of the Expedia's acquisition of Mobiata, which it acquired in November of last year. Expedia explained that the new app is the first in a series of mobile apps its plans to roll out this year, as part of an "Expedia Everywhere" strategy.
