Extensis Takes Fonts To The Cloud

Portland-based Extensis, a developer of font management software and tools, said this week that it has released a public beta for a new, cloud-based web font service, WebINK. According to the firm, the online service allows web designers to use custom fonts for their web sites, without requiring Javascript or other hacks for that support. The new service, WebINK, is based on a monthly subscription model, starting at $0.99/month for personal web sites, and based on usage of those web sites. Extensis is a unit of Celartem.
