F5 Networks Gets IPv6 Win At BT

Seattle-based networking equipment maker F5 Networks has scored a win with UK-based BT, saying today that BT has implemented its BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager product. F5 said that BT is using its product to allow complete translation between IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in networks. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. F5 said the win was part of today's World IPv6 day, where service providers and operators are demonstrating they can handle the shift to IPv6, a new Internet address format which is being adopted to handle the need for additional IP addresses on the Internet.
