F5 Networks, the developer of Internet traffic shaping and load balancing hardware, said today that it has opened up a new technology center in New York City. The Seattle company said the new center is in the "heart of Manhattan" and will let engineers, network managers, and technology executives test their networking products. New York City is a major hub for IT customers, because of its role in the financial industry. F5 did not say how large its center is, but did say it includes a data center, test environment, executive briefing center, workroom, and "immersive telepresence room" for video conferencing.
