Faves.com Shuts Down, Looks For Buyer

Seattle-based Faves.com, the operator of an online social bookmarking and discovery service, told its users Wednesday that it is shutting down the site "within a matter of days." In a post from Mike Koss, the firm's CEO, the site said that was "not able to sustain the costs of operating Faves.com." Faves.com had originally been known as Blue Dot. The firm had already downsized to a minimum of staff back in 2009. Koss said that the firm will be taking bids to acquire the remaining assets of the company soon.
