Fluke Networks Acquires Viola Networks' Technology

Fluke Networks, a publisher of telecommunications testing products, announced Monday that it has acquired the intellectual property of Viola Networks, a developer of voice-over-Internet Protocol management applications. Terms of the deal, which includes the technology behind Viola's NetAlly product line, were not disclosed. Fluke explained that the purchase of Viola's technologies and source code will allow Fluke to extend its product lines further into the VoIP analysis sector. Fluke added that it will rebrand and integrate elements of NetAlly into new and existing products. Fluke Networks is headquartered in Everett, Wash.
