Former Zumobi CEO Eric Hertz Perishes In Plane Crash

The former CEO of Seattle-based Zumobi, Eric Hertz, has perished in a plane crash in New Zealand, according to Hertz's current company, 2degrees. Hertz apparently crashed his twin engine Beechcraft Baron into the ocean near Auckland, New Zealand. Both Hertz and his wife, Kathy, died in the crash. Hertz also had served at Trilogy Partners, Western Wireless, BellSouth, McCaw Cellular, and AT&T Wireless. Hertz had been at Zumobi when it was known as ZenZui, and left Zumobi in 2009. 2degrees is a portfolio firm of Bellevue's Trilogy Partners.
