    Apptio Adds Execs

Hosted IT optimization software publisher Apptio reported today that it has added three people to its executive staff and one more to its board of directors. Specifically, the Bellevue, Wash.-based business said it has hired Eric Berg as vice president of product management and marketing, Dan Adams as vice president of sales for the Central and Western regions, and Michael Sullivan as vice president of sales for the Eastern region. Apptio said Berg hails from Microsoft, Adams from Citrix Systems and Sullivan from Opsware. Apptio added that the new board member is Yuval Scarlat, a former senior vice president with Mercury International. Founded in 2007, Apptio is a privately held company backed by Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group and several other investors.
