    HipCricket Hires Engineering VP

HipCricket, a publisher of marketing software that targets mobile users, reported Tuesday that it has hired Greg York as vice president of engineering. The Kirkland, Wash.-based company described York as a mobile technology veteran who most recently served as vice president of engineering at VoiceBox. Before that, he was vice president of technology at GiftCertificates, where he helped create customer loyalty incentives for T-Mobile, Cingular and Coca-Cola customers. York also supervised the technology organization for startup Ontain, working with major brands such as Boston Market, McDonald's, Starbucks and Subway.
