    INRIX Debuts Traffic Reporting Tool

Traffic data provider INRIX revealed this morning that it has launched a new product, a traffic data service that combines real-time, predictive and observed traffic information. Called Total Fusion, INRIX said its latest offering blends data from those three sources to provide speed estimates for busy city streets and congested arterials in addition to major freeways and the entire U.S. Interstate highway system. In all, INRIX said Total Fusion provides speed estimates for some 800,000 miles of U.S. roadways. The new service will be available in June, INRIX added. Headquartered in Kirkland, Wash., INRIX provides traffic flow analysis to more than 50 customers and industry partners, including TomTom, MapQuest, Microsoft and deCarta.
