    Venture Totals Flat, Says Report


    PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association released its quarterly venture capital survey over the weekend, saying that there was $7.4B invested in 990 venture deals nationally in the second quarter. The MoneyTree Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) based on data provided by Thomson Reuters reported that investments were approximately flat from Q1, when there was $7.5B in 977 deals. Nationally, the most active industries were software, with $1.25B invested, and the industrial/energy sector, with $1.2B.
