SpaceCurve Raises $2.7M

Seattle-based SpaceCurve, a developer of "big data" software used to analyze massive ammount of geospatial data, said today that it has raised $2.7M in funding. The round came from Reed Elsevier VEntures, Divergent Ventures, and Musea Ventures. The company also said it has named John Slitz as its EO as part of the funding efforts, which came via a series of financings. Slitz was previously CEO of Systems Research and Development, which had been acquired by IBM; Slitz also served as GM of IBM's THreat and Fraud Intelligence Business, in addition to spending time at Novell.
