Startup Ecosystem List Ranks Seattle Ahead of New York, Boston

Seattle beat out both New York and Boston in a new report, issued today, ranking the top startup ecosystems. The Startup Genome ranking put Seattle at number four in the list of areas with vibrant startup ecosystems, behind Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv, and Los Angeles. The ranking is an outgrowth of an effort to quantify the dynamics of startups and their success, and which helps startups benchmark their progress against other startups. The effort used such benchmarks as talent, mindset, funding, and number of startups to rank regions for startup activity.
