Getty Images and private equity firm The Carlyle Group said today that they have completed the $3.3 billion acquisition of Getty by Carlyle. The two companies had announced the buyout deal in August. According to the two, co-founder and Chairman Mark Getty and the Getty family have rolled "substantially all" of their ownership interest into the acquisition, with "significant equity" contributed by Getty Images management. Getty was previously owned by Hellman & Friedman. Getty Images is a provider of video and photography rights and assets.
