Getty Images Eyes Mobile Market

Seattle-based Getty Images is eyeing the mobile market, saying Wednesday that it has rolled out very small file size images specifically targeted at online and mobile use. The firm said the images from its library--only 170 pixels by 280 pixels--will be offered both as royalty managed and royalty free products, and will cost as little as $5 for royalty-free versions. Those prices are significantly lower than the web-resolution, $49 products the company currently licenses to customers.
