Gist Opens E-Mail Information Service
Seattle-based Gist, a Seattle startup focused on helping users control information overload, went into a private beta last Friday, the firm's founder, T.A. McCann said today. McCann said that the firm is an online service that "helps you build stronger relationships" by connecting email inboxes to information about the people sending messages. Gist provides links to news and events, blog posts, email attachments, and more relating to people alongside their emails. Gist is venture funded by Vulcan Capital, the investment arm of Paul Allen; McCann previously served at Microsoft work on Microsoft Exchange, and was a Entrepreneur-in-Residece at Vulcan.
