    Healia Acquired By Publisher

Bellevue, Washington-based Healia, an online vertical search engine focused on health, has been acquired. Des Moines, Iowa-based Meredith Corporation said Monday that it has acquired Healia, but did not disclose terms of the deal. Meredith said that the transaction will not have a material financial effect on the firm. Healia operates an online personalized health search engine for finding information about diseases and other health conditions. Meredith is the publisher of Better Homes and Gardens and other publications.
