    Healionics Raises $1.7M


    Redmond-based Healionics said Tuesday morning that it has raised $1.7M in a Series A financing. The funding came from individual investors, including Carl Lombardi, former CEO of SpaceLabs Medical and Sam Naficy, M.D., Medical Director of Naficy Plastic Surgery & Rejuvenation Center. Healionics said the funding will go to enhance its current and next generation medical deviecs. Healionics, which was founded in March of last year, is developing tissue regeneration materials targeted at diabetes, wound care and infusion therapy, among other markets.
