HelloTech Snags $12.5M From Madrona For IT Services

HelloTech an in-home IT and technology help service founded by former RealNetworks executive Richard Wolpert, has raised $12.5M in a new funding round, led by Seattle's Madrona Venture Partners. The funding also included Upfront Ventures, CrossCut Venturs, and Accel Partners. HelloTech said it the funds go towards aggressive expansion of its its tech support service. HelloTech has yet to offer up its services in the Seattle or Portland area, and is based in Los Angeles. Madrona's Len Jordan--also a veteran of RealNetworks--joins HelloTech's board with the funding.
