    Ignition, Trilogy Venture Into Sparkplug


    Bellevue, Washington-based Ignition Ventures and neighboring firm Trilogy Equity Partners have ventured into a Chicago-based wireless broadband provider, Sparkplug. According to Sparkplug, Ignition led an investment of $22.5M into the firm, which also included The Greenspun Corp, Bellevue-based Trilogy Equity Partners, Allen & Co., and Square 1 Bank, in a combined equity/debt deal. Sparkplug is chaired by Ignition's Steve Hooper, who is joined on the board by Mikal Thomsen of Trilogy.
