Indix Gets $8.5M More For Product Database

Seattle-based Indix, a developer of a cloud-based, database of product information, said today that it has raised $8.5M as part of an ongoing, $9M Series A-1 financing round. The round was led by Avalon Ventures and Nexus venture Partners. According to Indix, the new funding goes towards product development and engineering efforts. Indix operates an online database of product information and associated APIs, letting business and consumer apps use that data for their own applications. The company is led by Sanjay Parthasarathy.
