InFocus Gets Rival Buyout Offer

Wilsonville, Oregon-based InFocus, which makes digital projectors, announced Wednesday afternoon that the firm has received a new, unsolicited proposal from an un-named buyer. Details of the new proposal were not disclosed. InFocus had announced April 13th that it had reached a definitive merger agreement with Image Holdings Corporation, a firm controlled by eMachines founder John Hui, to sell the firm for approximately $39M. InFocus said it intends to enter into a discussion with the unnamed bidder for its business.
