InfoSpace Posts $46.7M Loss

Bellevue, Washington-based InfoSpace announced its results Wednesday, reporting that the firm lost $46.7M on revenues of $96.3M for the three months ended September 30, 2006. The firm said that the loss was due to losing a significant portion of business with one of its carrier partners. The loss had resulted in steep layoffs at the firm, which were announced earlier in the quarter. Revenues were almost evenly split between the firm's mobile and online businesse, with $47.7M due to mobile, and $48.6M due to its online operations.
