    InfoSpace Rolls Out Search Widget

Bellevue-based InfoSpace said Thursday that its Dogpile.com search engine has rolled out a new search widget. According to Dogpile.com, the canine-themed new widget--which it has called "Arfie"--runs as a desktop widget and will help users access Dogpile's metasearch service from their desktop. According to the firm, the new widget's major features include playing with an animated dog named Arfie, who will romp around their desktop and can be "pet" by the user. Dogpile.com is a meta search engine, which queries major search engines and returns a blend of ranked results from those search engines.
