Portland-based Integra Telecom said today that it is planning an expansion in Spokane, Washington, and is expecting to double its local workforce in the next six to nine months. The firm--which says it currently has nine people in its Spokane office--said the expansion is related to its efforts to offer Inland Northwest businesses with its voice and Internet services. The firm said it first moved into the Spokane market when it acquired Electric Lightwave in 2006.
