    Intermec Cuts Staff


    Everett, Washington-based Intermec is cutting its staff by 9%, the firm said Thursday night, as it announced a restructing plan to reduce the company's costs and improve profitability. Intermec, which develops supply chain management hardware and systems, said that the firm is making the moves as a result of strategic and ownership changes in its industry. The firm also said it will take a $7.6M to $8.6M charge on its earnings due to the restructuring.
