Everett, Washington-based Intermec, the developer of RFID tracking systems and related products, has just tied with wireless equipment provider Ruckus Wireless. According to the companies, Ruckus Wireless and Intermec have linked Intermec's wireless scanning products with the Ruckus Wi-Fi mobile solutions, for deployment within distribution center and manufacturing operations. The details of the link between the two was not disclosed. Ruckus said the two have deployed alongside each other in a number of installations, including deployments by Insource TEchnology at companies such as StarPak, Polytex, Superbag, Exel Logistics, Tifco Industries, Utex Industries and MOGAS Industries. Intermec is in the midst of being acquired by Honeywell.
