iovation Selected By Videogame Developer

Portland-based iovation, which provides a device reputation service to help companies reduce online fraud and abuse, has signed up video game developer Crossfire as a customer. G4BOX is using iovation to help prevent and flag fraudulent gaming transactions. Financial details of the win were not announced. iovation said it has so far flagged more than 9 million gaming transactions as being fraudulent this year. CrossFire is an online, first-person shooter game. iovation's service tracks the likelihood specific Internet devices have of spawning fraudulent transactions, helping peple like Internet service providers, e-commerce companies, and others turn away those potentially fraudulent customers.
