iovation: Ghana Tops Online Fraud List

Getting lots of orders from the country of Ghana on your e-commerce site? Maybe that's not such a good thing, according to Portland-based iovation, the provider of technology used to protect businesses against online fraud and abuse. iovation reported that its device reputation service, which tracks devices which are being used in fraudulent transactions, has found that Ghana was the top country in terms of the percentage of fraudulent transactions from the country. The said that Nigeria, The Philippines, China, and Israel also topped its list of the countries with the most percentage of fraudulent transactions detected by its service. The company said it stopped 50 million fraud attempts last year through its service.
