Itron In Italian Win

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, the maker of smart utility meters, said today that it has won a smart metering contract with Italian gas supplier Italgas. Itron said it will deliver and install electronic gas volume converters and GPRS two way communication devices to an estimated 30,000 commercial and industrial gas meters for Italgas. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
