Itron Links With OpenPeak

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, a manufacturer of smart meters for the utility industry, said Monday that it has linked with energy management provider OpenPeak. According to Itron, it will provide technology to OpenPeak's multimedia touch screens for smart grid metering. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. OpenPeak provides real-time energy usage and pricing data through its touch screen displays, which are installed in residences.
