Itron Wins Two New Projects In India

Liberty Lake, Washington-based smart meter maker Itron is reporting two new projects wins in India today, saying that it has been selected by Larsen & Turbo, which it says is the largest construction company in India. The firm's automated meters will be used by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) for a water metering project, including 120,000 advanced meters from Itron. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Itron also said it has scored another win with Indian infrastructure development company SPML for 90,000 advanced meters in he Malviya Nagar, Vasant Vihar and Mehrauli areas of New Delhi.
