Jive Software Joins Industry Data Effort

Portland-based Jive Software has joined a high profile industry effort to link social networking profiles and information, the Data Portability Project, the firm announced Tuesday. Jive Software said that it has joined Google, Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn, SixApart, and Digg in the group, which is focused on developing open standards for users to exchange user information. Jive Software develops enterprise collaboration software, and is venture backed by Sequoia Capital.
