Jive Software Talks About $15M Round

Portland, Oregon-based Jive Software has raised $15M in an investment round from Sequoia Capital. The funding was covered widely last week but was not announced formally by the firm. Dave Hersh, the firm's CEO, said in his blog yesterday that the company, which was bootstrapped and has been profitable since inception, took the round as a step towards becoming the provider of choice in its market. The firm said that it will build out its infrastructure to support the company's growing customer base, will open international offices, bolster support and sales, and add new engineers to its R&D team with the funding.
