Jive Upgrades Clearspace

Portland, Oregon-based Jive Software said today that it has launched the latest version of the firm's collaboration software, Clearspace 2.5. Jive said the upgraded software adds new Salesforce.com integration, links to email and external web sites, and a new WYSIWG (what you see is what you get) editor. Jive, which is venture backed by Sequoia Capital, said the new release comes as the firm has seen a 25% increase in its customer base in the second quarter. Jive's software is used by companies to allow employees to collaborate and share information with each other, and is one of the efforts to apply social networking software to the enterprise. The firm's software competes with such firms as Socialtext, Mindtouch, IBM, Microsoft, and others.
