KAPITALL Raises $7.3M For Investment Software

Seattle- and New York-based Stereo Scope, the parent firm of Kapitall, has raised $7.3M in new funding for its new web-based investment software. The firm is announcing the investment tomorrow. Kapitall said it raised $7.3M, plus converted more than $5.5M in previously issued promissory notes in this round, which was led by Bendigo Partners, Strauss Zelnick, and ES & Partner Ventures. Kapitall said the new funding will go towards its next phase of development. Kapitall's application provides a drag and drop interface and game dynamics applied to investments and investment research, which the firm says makes investments more friendly to users. As part of the funding, Jarrett Lilien of Bendigo Partners and Roy A. Ellis of ES & Partner Ventures have joined the company's board. Lilien is the former President and COO of E*TRADE.
