Koru Gets $8M To Help College Grads With Job Skills

Seattle-based Koru said this morning that it has raised $8M in a Series A funding round, which was led by Maveron and also included City Lights Capital, Trilogy Equity Partners, as well as Battery Ventures and First Round Capital. Koru offers up what it says is an intensive business program to specifically teach college grads relevant work skills, to help them get hired. The company is looking to target a high rate of unemployment and underemployment among new college graduates. Koru is led by Kristen Hamilton.
