![]() Friday, July 11, 2008 LightScribe Adds Color Backgrounds To DVDsCorvallis, Oregon-based LightScribe said this week that it has added new, color background DVDs to its CD and DVD labeling drive system. According to the firm, it now supports red, orange, yellow, blue, and green DVDs as part of their customized system for burning silkscreen-quality labels onto disks. The firm said the new DVDs will be offered through Aleratec, HP, Imation, Memorex, Philips, Primeon, and Verbatim. LightScribe licenses technology to consumer electronics firms which allows for labeling of CD and DVD disks using the laser within CD and DVD drives; the company is a unit of HP. posted on Friday, July 11, 2008
