Lumen Learning Lands $2.5M

Portland-based Lumen Learning announced Wednesday that it has raised $2.5M in a funding round, from the Oregon Angel Fund, Portland Seed Fund, the Seattle Alliance of Angels, plus Ray Henderson, Dave Mills, and Tom Rubin. Lumen Learning develops "open courseware", low cost, digital course materials aimed at replacing textbooks in large enrollment college courses. Lumen Learning is led by Kim Thanos.
