    Marchex Buys VoiceStar


    Seattle-based Marchex said Thursday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire VoiceStar, a provider of pay-per-call and other call-based advertising services. The deal is worth $28M, split between $12.9M in cash plus $7.1M in restricted stock, and $8M in investments in VoiceStar. VoiceStar will remain in Philadelphia. Marchex said it expects the acquisition to close by October 1st. Marchex said that it expects VoiceStar to have revenues of approxiately $1.5M for the full year 2007, with an operating loss, with revenues of $3M in 2007 and $5M in 2008.
