Seattle, Washington-based Marchex has tied into Yahoo's Pay-Per-Click network, saying Monday that it will convert search ad listings for its pay-per-click engine into Yahoo! Sponsored Search listings. The deal comes as Yahoo announced it had opened an application programming interface (API) for its partners, which will allow them to interact with the firm's new Panama search marketing service. Marchex said it will use the geo-targeting capability of Yahoo's new API for more targeted advertising campaigns for its advertisers. Marchex provides search marketing, local search, and other Internet advertising services to merchants.
