Maveron Backs Crowdfunding Site

Seattle-based venture investor Maveron has backed the operator of an online, crowdfunding site aimed at retail and consumer companies. San Francisco-based CircleUp said today that it has raised a $7.5M Series A, which included Maveron, along with lead investor Union Square Ventures, Google Ventures, Rose Park Advisors, and others. CircleUp's online, crowd-funding site lets companies find funding from consumers. Maveron was a seed investor in CircleUp. More information »
